'My artistic background is in textiles - fabric dyeing, sewing, hand and machine embroidery and quilting. I moved to silver jewellery making in recent years. My inspiration comes from the natural world (often my own garden), the textile world and any interesting shapes and formations I see around me. My sketchbook is always close by so that I can put down an idea immediately. Inspiration has even been known to come in the middle of the night.'
